Discover How To Block Porn Sites

Author: Lori Mikell

These days days everyone from your kids to your grandfather is surfing the internet. While the information age can be a good thing it also can present problems uniquely it’s own. Chief among these are the boundless number of porn sites. This can be a major concern for parents whose kids spend a great deal of time online.

This problem is not easily solved without totally banning the use of the computer. However, one viable solution to this problem that has proven to be very effective is the use of software that was specifically developed to block adult or porn sites thus shielding your children from them.

With this software you don’t have to worry about your kids when they are online because it works amazingly well. To block porn sites simply install this software and let it run in the background.

The benefits you receive by using this software include:

  1. It works in the background and blocks offensive content before it appears on screen.

  2. It is designed to work with all search engines which prevents your kids from searching or even seeing links to any sites that have been blocked. This particular safety feature provides excellent protection against viewing adult pictures during an Image search.

  3. This software program blocks over 50 File Sharing Sharing programs which is a deterrent to illegal file sharing online.

  4. It’s content filtering is impressive and works with all of the popular browsers!

  5. The software operates in a “stealth mode” which runs totally concealed from the task bar, system tray, process list, start menu and add/remove programs sections of your computer!

  6. It can’t be closed or bypassed even by the cleverest users and it can accommodate any number of Windows users!

  7. It can be set to automatically record screen shots at predetermined times for you to review later. This allows you to secretly keep track of whats going on with your computer.

  8. Easy to use URL logging is included, allowing you to maintain a log of all websites visited.

  9. The ingenious keyword filtering system makes it easy for you to block a broad variety of offensive websites. This works with both old and new sites alike!

  10. When it comes to password control, only you can control this program. The only way the software can be bypassed is with the special password that only you as administrator will know.

That’s the porn blocking software in a nutshell. It is very easy to use. Simply install and set it for your PC!

Introduction:

Is Your Computer Sick?

Viruses and spyware usually show up on your computer one of
two ways.

Either they invade your system with a frontal assault like
the Huns attacking the Romans, or they sneak in a back door
like a cat burglar.

Either way, once a virus or piece of spyware gets on your
system, getting it off can rate harder than curing a severe
case of trench foot!

Viruses, malicious programs designed to disrupt normal
computing, and spyware, programs intended to literally "spy"
on your activities, can enter your computer a number of
ways.

Most commonly they enter your system through an email
attachment, by sharing files with an infected computer by
disk, as a "ride along" with a 3rd party program you
install, or through a "back door" port in your computer.

Regardless of how they get on your system, once in place,
they cause no end of headaches and frustration.

The following represent typical signs you may suffer from
infection by a virus or piece of spyware.

Your computer starts acting oddly by doing things it never
did previously.

Your modem starts trying to dial out to the Internet without
you initiating a surfing session.

You notice that files start disappearing, the system stalls,
runs slowly, or even crashes frequently.

Your computer takes progressively longer to boot up every
time you start it or you notice that your available hard
drive space has disappeared. Strange popup windows appear,
even when you're not surfing the web, or you delete a
program and it "magically" reappears next time you boot the
system.

If you suspect you a virus or a piece of spyware has invaded
your computer, follow these steps to first identify and then
delete the offending code:

Step 1 – Back up your important files, but remember to scan
these files for viruses before reinstalling to avoid
accidentally re-infecting your system.

Step 2 – Update your anti-virus definitions and perform a
scan of your hard drive.

If you don't carry virus protection, or you suspect your
anti-virus software got corrupted somehow, then log on to
www.pandasoftware.com and use the free Panda Active Scan
service to check your hard drive for viruses.

Follow the instructions for quarantining and removing the
offending files.

Step 3 – Scan your hard drive with an adware, scumware, or
spyware detection and removal tool like Adaware
www.lavasoft.de/support/download/ or Spybot
http://spybot.safer-networking.de/.

Step 4 – In many cases, when the virus or spyware program
gets installed with a free utility or game you download from
the Web, you must usually uninstall the utility or game to
finally get rid of the problem once and for all.

Step 5 – Avoid re-infection by keeping your anti-virus and
firewall up-to-date at all times.

As a last resort, if you run into a program you simply can't
get rid of, but can figure out the offending file's name, do
a search for the file name on Google.com. Often you will
find you're not the first victim and may get valuable advice
for cleaning up your system.

However, be very careful of the information you find and
think twice before modifying any system files.

Part 1: What is the Difference Between Spyware + Adware and Computer Virus

Author: 104Inc.com

Computer virus VS spyware are almost the same and can cause just as much damage to the PC. Both these topics are extremely dangerous to people that surf the Internet and websites that are infected. I will give you an example of all these topics.

Spyware is software that gets installed on your PC by you downloading something from the Internet or going to a Website that is infected. The main purpose of Spyware is to install the program and to keep a track of your usage on what you are doing. One of the main things that company’s use Spyware is to gather information of the person and what website they are going to, so that they can send you spam mails and pop-ups.

Spyware can be very irritating and dangerous because they have certain executable software’s that can take a look or even log your keystrokes when you are in an important website which in tern later send the information back to the hacker. Then the hacker will basically sell the information that he has gathered to advertiser companies that look for leads in the field that they are working in.

Now adware is completely different form and it is usually free that you download from websites. Now adware also contains advertising programs in them. Now the difference with adware is that you download and install the program and you don’t know what else it is installing and Spyware usually installs itself with out you even knowing that it did.

So when you turn your computer on and it takes a while to load then with out you doing anything you notice that you are getting pop ups of advertising and certain websites open, then you can say that in most cases that your PC is infected with Spyware.
